NOTE: This game will only work if the Player2 app is installed and running on your device.

If you cannot hear Aira speak, try restarting the Player2 app.

Escape Protocol - the single-player coop escape game!

You wake up in a strange cell with no memory of how you got there. Through a window, you can see Aira, who seems to be imprisoned in the adjacent cell.

Try to escape together as you cooperate to solve multiple puzzle rooms, requiring communicating with each other to succeed.

The game alternates between rooms where you and Aira can see what the other is doing and need to communicate only to coordinate, and rooms where you can't see on the other's side at all and must rely fully on communication.

Controls : Arrows keys or WASD to move, press E or click the text box to start typing, or hold tab to use speech to text.

If you get stuck, or the AI somehow bugs out, return to the main menu and you can use the level select to start again from where you were, or even skip to the next room.

I had a lot of fun working on this one and was pleasantly surprised by the AI ability to play the game. I hope the Player2 TTS can support setting emotions in the future as I feel it would really enhance the experience here!

Levels Commentaries (and hints)

Bombs Level : The AI actually does get access to a manual I wrote inspired by Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, and the bombs are fully randomly generated, then check for which rule they match! You can keep on defusing to try it out. Or fail on purpose to see the cool explosion ;).

Levers Level : The idea behind this one was that Aira would pull random wacky levers, and the player would have to remember which descriptions match the numbers they need, then ask Aira eg. "now pull the carrot lever!" to input the code.
But the AI is good at this, if you simply tell her the required code and tell her when numbers appear, she'll actually do it on her own! Try to just describe the room and the numbers that appear to her if you are stuck ;)
There's a ton of weird levers, a lot more than needed, so if you retry the level you'll get mostly new ones, give it a shot ;).

Maze Level : Again, the AI get the "map" and decide which instructions to give the player. I added the speech bubble to get around the TTS lag, but it IS the AI controlling that too!
